Completing this form is not a guarantee of acceptance. The expansion at each of our campuses is contingent on lease negotiations and hiring qualified teachers. More information can be found on our website.

An email will be sent within 3 weeks of completing the application indicating the application status.

Students need to be 5 by September 1, 2024.

Next to each option below is approximately how many spots we have open for that campus and grade level.

At our Plum and Franklin Park Campuses, we need more in the Elementary to Middle School Grades!

There are NO open spots at our Washington Campus

There are NO open spots at our Hickory Campus.

If applying for more than one student, the option for this will come after you have completed and saved the form for each student.

Application Form Fee

The application fee is $100 per student and is non-refundable. If you decide to withdraw your application after submitting, the fee will not be refunded. A lot of time, effort and prayers go into reviewing each application.

You may pay either by credit card or by check/money order. Both forms of payments have processing fees, please pay the amount shown at the end of the application.

Checks/money orders (No Cash) can be payable to A One-Room Schoolhouse and mailed to PO Box 263, Hickory, PA 15340. All check/money orders must be received within two weeks of completing the form. If not received, the application may be voided.

Commitment to the Schoolhouse

Lessons at Home

We are looking for families that will be able to commit to completing lessons at home two days per week in math and language arts. Students in grades seventh and above will have additional homeschool work in science and history. Elective day students will also have some work to do at home like practicing an instrument, homework, or memorizing a speaking part.
A One-Room Schoolhouse is NOT A SCHOOL.
